Matt Striker & Rookies on the stage. Striker says voting starts tommrow on WWE.com. Striker says Bateman leads to get immunity but things could change tonight. Power of the Punch Challenge. Winner gets two immunity points if anyone beats Alex Riley's record they get another point. Bateman gets a 750. Johnny Curtis gets 814. Matthews wonders if they make Striker's shirt in aldult sizes. Grisham says thats terrible. Striker says Haiku will like that. Matthews sees what he did their. Johnny Curtis dances with a ribbon. Grisham asks if where watching Logo TV. Matthews wants Cole's gong back. Bryon Saxton reads a fairytale. Striker says that appioate. Matthews says he should take this seriously. Saxton tells the story of Claywolf. "Give me your applesider & Clay." Saxton runs out of time. Conor O'Brian says hes gonna tells jokes. Conor makes cheesy jokes crowd boos.  Striker hopes Clay can destroy everyone. Novak says hes gonna look good. Novak sits in a chair and makes faces. Matthews says this is riducouls and says none of them will become big stars and to end the show. Matthews wonders if they can take away points. Clay says he wants to make someone hood cool and calls out someone from the back. Michael Cole comes down to the ring. Matthews yells yes hes back! Cole trashs Rochester and says this show is painfull to watch. Cole says things havent changed as the show still stinks. Cole says he is here for his friend Clay. Cole puts on a beanie. Someone yells "Cole sucks" Cole says so does Rochester. Cole says his vintage vinger is a big seller and Kaval really lasted long for his Internet fans. Cole tells people to tweet Matthews to apply.(Did'ny Clay go over time...lol). Johnny Curtis wins with his ribbon. Matthews says how that shows how smart Rochester is. Curtis hits Clay with his ribbon and Clay lays out all the other rookies.

My Rating 1.8/5 Boring Show as usual, but Commentators like every week save the show with comedy.

Best Parts

1. Josh Matthews. Makes the show. Very funny! Only reason to watch is for the commentators.

50/50 Parts

1. NXT in general the show is boring its only good when comedy is in effect. More comedy = better show.

2. 3 Matchs, ok nothing special but they were all boring. But hey we had 3 boring matchs instead of 2. lol

3. Talent Contest. ahh okish. Michael Cole saved it, some tiny laughs for Curtis & Conor.

Worst Parts

1. Video Package & Commercials.

2. Punch the bag challenge.

Should you watch the replay of NXT? No but if you have time to kill watch for the funny comments by Matthews & Todd Grisham.

Cena says how like everyone else he is going to talk about last week. Cena says their is alot of energy here. Cena says last week after he beat Ziggler this happened. Video Recap: Cena/Punk from last Raw. Cena says he brought it on himself. Crowd chants for C.M. Punk. Cena says how he knows Punk is angry because he spilt his diet soda but he gave him his money back. He understands why he did this. Video Recap: Cena/Punk from last SD. Cena says it took all his energy to lift Vickie Guerrero last high. Cena says he can't give Punk back his soda and calls out Punk to talk. C.M. Punk comes out to the stage. Punk says its just like every week with Cena with the crowd to belive he is a smily man. Punk says the truth is Cena is dishonest. Punk says it goes back before the diet soda. Punk says how Cena was gone from WWE and how he can finally go home and go on his word but he came back later that night. Then the next week and the next week and the next. Punk says Cena's word is worthless. Punk says how Cena had Wade Barrett beat but then he dropped 15 chairs on him. Punk wants to know why that is ok. Cena says it was 23 chairs. Cena says how Nexus gave him so many beatdowns. Punk says Cena is a hypocric as his friend Batista's career was ended by Cena. Punk says how Batista submitted then Cena put him through the steel ramp he is "sitting on"(he was standing). Punk says he is surprised Vickie has not quit yet with his name calling. Cena says Batista broke his neck and then quit on his own. Cena says he talks about everyone not just Vickie. Cena says Michael Cole has Miz manscaped on his own body. Cena says he could be Grimmace & Hulk's son. Punk says Cena is not funny. Punk says he is standing up to Cena. Punk says its going to stop. Mixed "C.M" "Cena" chants. Cena says Punk is talking big game. Cena tells him to settle it in the ring. Punk says they do. Punk says they can do it here in Albany but Cena is predicable. Punk says its his show not Cena's and will happen on his terms. Punk says he will call Cena out tonight. Punk says he will open Cena's eyes tonight and Cena will never forget tonight. Punk says Happy New Year and sauletes Cena and leaves.

1. Ted Dibase Jr. w/ Maryse vs Santino Marella(1/2 WWE Tag Team Champion) w/ Tamina. Ref Mike Chioda. Santino wins with a rollup in a quick match. Santino gives Tamina a present and its his cobra hand in a box. Ted & Maryse attack them but are layed out.

Backstage: Miz(WWE Champion) tells Alex Riley he is going to teach Lawler a lesson tonight. Riley says he will beat Morrison tonight. Miz says Riley needs to hurt Morrison so he cant wrestle him. Miz says he will humilate Lawler and make him beg then the same to Morrison. John Morrison walks up. Morrison says he knows Miz likes big games so he has a bet. If he beats Riley he choses when the match is and the match type. Riley says when he wins then what. Morrison says if he loses he forfeits his title match. Miz accepts.

2. John Morrison vs Alex Riley w/ Miz(WWE Champion). Ref Charles Robinson. Miz knocks down Morrison and gets ejected by Robinson. Miz goes to the stage and watchs. Morrison wins with a knee to the face. Morrison tells the commentators the title match will be next week in a Falls Count Anywhere Match!

Backstage: Randy Orton Interviewed. Orton says he has nothing against Morrison and hopes Miz wins next week so he beats the Miz for the WWE Title. Orton says tonight he will end King Sheamus reign.

3. Mark Henry vs Tyson Kidd w/ Jackson Andrews. Ref Rod Zapata. Henry wins with the World's Strongest Slam in a quick match. Andrews gets in the ring and is layed out by Henry.

Miz says he is never immitated he immitates. Miz says nobody compares to him. Crowd says "What?" after every sentence by Miz. Miz says he greater then all the former superstars. Miz says the crowd chants like abunch of ducks. "WHat WHat What What What!" Miz says he is a master of the art of wrestling. Miz asks if the fans are going to what all day. Really? Miz tells everyone to shut up while he is talking. Miz says he will destroy Lawler tonight in honor of all the what people. Miz says he is awesome.

4. Miz(WWE Champion) w/ Alex Riley vs Jerry Lawler. Ref John Cone. Matthews says Lawler lost his luggage on his way to Albany in the blizzard, Cole says Lawler will lose more then that tonight. Riley knocks Lawler down. John Morrison comes down to ringside. Riley discrats the referee and Morrison lays out Miz. Lawler wins by countout! Morrison taunts Miz and celebrats with Lawler.

Matthews leaves commenrary and Lawler returns to commentary.

Backstage: C.M. Punk talks to Sheamus and says he likes the king and he earned it by winning KOTR. Punk says how John Cena has disrespected him so much. Punk wants Sheamus to watch tonight as he will get revenge on Cena for all that he has done and he wishs Sheamus luck for tonight. Sheamus says he needs no luck.

Backstage: C.M. Punk talks to trainers and tells them to be ready and alert tonight with the Emts after he is done with Cena. Punk says what happens to Cena lies on the fans.

6. Zach Ryder vs Daniel Bryan(U.S. Champion) w/ Bella Twins. Ref Charles Robinson. Match joined in progress. Bryan wins with a Crossface. Raw GM email goes off.

Michael Cole reads the email. Cole reads it and the GM wishs everyone a good 2011. Miz comes from the crowd and lays out Lawler. Refs come out and get Miz to leave and check on Lawler.

7. Sheamus vs Randy Orton. Ref Mike Chioda. (Commercials). Orton wins with a RKO.

John Cena comes down to the ring. Cena says C.M. Sucks was going to call him out. Cena keeps calling him C.M. Sucks and Cole says "Punk". Cena tells Punk to come on out. C.M. Punk's music plays but he does not come out. Cena says thats the big surprise play CM's music and he does not come out. Cena says hes going to go find CM Sucks. Nexus(without Wade Barrett) comes down to the ringside and David Otunga gets in the ring. Otunga says its not like he thinks. Otunga says how Cena layed out everyone in Nexus and Cena did what he said he was going to do. Otunga says Nexus is under new management now. Otunga wants to start over move forward. Otunga wants a truce. Cena won't shake Otunga's hand. Cena says he knows why Nexus did what they did. Cena does not trust Otunga's word. Cena says he got to Nexus because he watched and studied them. Cena calls Otunga a worm of a man. Cena says they won't move forward. Cena says to move backward or fight. Nexus pretends to leave and comes back and attacks and lays out Cena. Each Nexus member hits thier own finsher on Cena. Nexus leaves to the stage. C.M. Punk comes down to the ring and lays out Cena. Punk gets a chair and goes to hit Cena but sits on it instead. Punk puts on a Nexus armband. Punk raises his arm to the rest of Nexus and they raise their arm back at him.

Eric's Live Report from WWE Raw/Superstars Taping in Albany,NY 12/27

Raw Off-Air Notes & Superstars Spoilers from Times Union Center in Albany,NY.

 

Arena was filled good. Bottom & Middle filled and top section was 1/2 tarped off.

 

5 fans wearing Nexus shirts and with a sign for Nexus drew lots of heat holding up thier sign.

 

Justin Roberts was in the ring and welcomed us all to the show.

 

Dark Match #1. Abraham Washington came down to the ring. Washington said that he was the Viper. He said he was sorry but Randy Orton already has it. So he is the Marine...wait theirs two of them. I'm Awesome! no wait. He said he would knock out the competion. He faced Primo with the referee being Rod Zapata. Very quick match about 3 minutes with Washington only getting 2 moves in the rest was all Primo. Primo won with a backstabber.

 

Josh Matthews & Scott Stanford came down to call commentary(Made me have a idea that Lawler would be injured out).

 

Superstars Opening w/o pyro.

 

Superstars #1. Yoshi Tatsu & Darren Young vs Usos. Ref Charles Robinson. Back & Forth match Young missed a Uso and was thrown out of the ring. Uso's daouble teamed Yoshi and a Uso jumped off the top rope for the win on Yoshi. Match was about 7 minutes. During the match one of Times Union center's head security guys told the other security members that someone would be running in during the show.

Superstars #2. David Hart Smith vs William Regal. Ref John Cone. Alot of Chain wrestling & European uppercuts. Match went about 10 minutes with Regal winning with a Knee to the head. Nice match.

 

Raw Off-Air Notes

 

After the backstage segments, Lawler left commentary and went to the back. Josh Matthews hosted the Show your signs segment. When they showed one sign I saw myself on the tron. After Matthews finshed with signs he went to commentary.

 

After Lawler's beatdown, Michael Cole stood in front of the commentary booth looking concerned then went back to his seat. After Lawler was helped to the back, Matthews came back out to commentary.

 

After the Shemaus/Orton match alot of people left and WWE crew changed the ring mat to a new one.

 

After the Cena/Punk segment alot of people starting filling out.

 

Dark Match #2: Special Guest Referee: Michael Cole(wearing a referee shirt over his dress shirt). Miz & Sheamus w/ Alex Riley vs Randy Orton & John Cena. The heels surronded Cena still laying on the floor and Orton ran down to the ring. Orton talked to Cole and pointed at the downed Cena but Cole told him he had to wrestle. Match went about 7 minutes long. Josh Matthews still sat at commentary watching looking bored. Orton & Miz/Sheamus went back & forth for about 4 minutes. Orton went to pin Miz and Cole stopped at 2. Orton yelled at Cole in the corner and Cole ran away from him. Cena got up and his super stregth got tagged in, cleaned out, Orton hit the RKO on Sheamus & Cena made Miz submit to the STF for the win. Miz & Riley left with Cole running behind them followed by Sheamus. Cena & Orton posed together in the ring.

 

Roberts thanked everyone for comming and wished everyone a safe trip home.

 

Good show felt like it went by very quickly.

5. Randy Orton vs Miz(WWE Champion) w/ Alex Riley. Tables Match for WWE Championship Title Match. Ref Mike Chioda. Riley tries to interfere and Orton lays him out. Chioda is knocked down and out of the ring. Orton puts Riley through the table. Miz hits a Skull Crushing Finale and Miz rolls Riley out of the ring and puts Orton in Riley's spot, puts Chioda back in the ring and gets the win!!! Chioda sees the replay and restarts the match! Miz throws Riley into Orton and Orton falls though the table for Miz to win!!!

Edge on screen. Edge says it ends at the PPV. Edge says he found Paul Beahr and a steel chair. Edge says he needs some pratice for their PPV match on Paul. Edge hits Paul with the chair and says it has to of hurt. Kane runs to the back. Edge tells Kane if he makes another step. Kane asks him to put the chair down. Edge says he took another step and hits a Paul dummy again.(Added crowd Audio "ohh") Kane says its another dummy. Edge says the real dummy is over here and Kane runs after.

1. Jack Swagger vs Kaval. Ref Mike Chioda. Swagger wins with the ankle lock. Swagger says results is spely S W A G G E R. Swagger says last week was a travisty as Kingston should not be the #1 contender. Video Recap: Swagger/Kingston. Swagger says he was struck while being in the ropes which is illigal and the ref blew the call to get the win. Swagger says he will protest tonight's IC Title Match. Swagger says he will be on Mount Rushmore someday. Swagger says a IC title match w/o him is unacceptable.

2. Hornswoggle w/ Rosa Mendes vs Eagle Mascot. Ref John Cone. Cole & Striker try to make jokes. Hornswoggle puts AMCE feed down on the ground. Matthews says ACME is spelt wrong due to copyright. Hornswoggle tries to eat the Eagle with salt. Cole can't belive thier calling this, Striker says thier not.(lol). Eagle messes up ballin and Hornswoggle wins with a tad pole splash. Horny & Rosa hug after and make fun of the mascot.

Backstage: Thedore Long(SD! GM) says he is happy to see Santino Marella & Vladmir Kozlov(WWE Tag Champions) instead of Nexus on SD! Santino sings We are the champions. Vlad struggles to get his lighter lit but then does. Chavo Guerrero comes in and says he does not like all the noise and wants to beat them. Santino thought he wanted a photo. Cole oversells with laughter. Santino accepts. Santino keeps singing.

Backstage: Dolph Ziggler Interviewd. Ziggler says their is a big differnce between him and Kingston because Kingston is always a contender and a failure like the fans.

3. Kofi Kingston vs Dolph Ziggler(Intercontenal Champion) w/ Vickie Guerrero. WWE Intercontental Championship Title Match. Ref Jack Doan. (Commercials) Jack Swagger comes down to the ring and pulls Kingston out of the ring and lays out Kingston causing a DQ win for Kingston but Ziggler keeps the title. Refs pull Swagger off Kingston.




Backstage: Kane stands over a ledge with a Paul Beahr dummy behind him, Edge tells him not to come any closer its not a dummy this time. Kane runs up and Edge shoves the dummy off the ledge though a table. Kane runs up and screams as Edge and the real Paul run away.

Commercial: Next Raw.

Chris Masters holds a Masterlock challenge. Masters is already in the ring. Cody Rhodes comes down to the ring. Jack Doan is the ref. Rhodes wants the chair cleaned. Cole says if Chimel was here he would of broke the chair if he sat in it. Masters touchs Cody's face and Cody yells at him. Cody throws a fit. Masters wins the masterlock challenge.

Backstage: Edge talking to Paul Beahr that he hopes he is not afraid of heigts. Kane runs up and Edge runs away. Kane laughs and pushs the board off with the wheelchair and the ladder over too. Kane looks over and sees he flipped the real Paul over and Kane crys. Edge says he told him.

My Rating 3.3/10 A Horrible Smackdown, who wrote this show! It was horrible! Really bad, stupid, lame & boring.

1. Swagger/Kaval ok match could of been alot better.

2. IC Title Match. Kinda boring match ok post match.

3. Tag Titles match. Ok match but why?? whats the point here.

2. Edge/Kane stuff. OMG so painfull to watch.

My Rating 2.3/5 A okish show. Nothing really special here.

Best Parts

1. C.M. Punk on commentary. Really funny with Stanford. Only thing I look forward too every week on Superstars lol.

2. Hawkins/Ryder great back & forth match. Just no story here.

3. Ashley Valence. Like that Ashley is on Superstars Superstars needs their own announcer like Ashley but show keeps looking like Heat or Velocity.

50/50 Parts

1. Jack Korpela. Ok nothing really bad to say about him. Alot of exciment from him but he says too many of the moves. Great job of building things up from his work on WWE Experience(Internatibal) & PPV Preshows.

2. Ryder/Ezekiel ok match nothing special, both of these guys deserve good storylines tho.

Worst Parts

1. Video Packages, Video Recaps, Commericals, Graphics, etc. Waste of time.

2. Reks/JTG boring.

3. Alicia/Eve. really should not have been the main event, typical bad Divas match.
